FEM is a numerical method to solve the partial differential equations (PDE) that expresses the physical quantities of interest, in this case Maxwell's equations. In this webcast we will review the most common EM simulations technologies in use today for RF, microwave and high-speed design projects: Method of Moments (MoM), Finite Element Method (FEM) and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD). This webcast aims to make sense of the different types. It follows a detailed discussion of electrostatics, flux, magnetostatics, quasi stationary fields and electromagnetic fields. The numerical approximation of Maxwell's equations, Computational Electromagnetics (CEM), has emerged as a crucial enabling technology for radio-frequency, microwave and wireless engineering. The relative advantages of the BEM over the more widely used Finite Element Method (FEM) are that for electric and magnetic fields, the governing equations to be solved are Maxwell's. The three most popular 'full-wave' methods - the Finite Difference Time Domain Method, the Method of Moments, and the Finite Element Method - are introduced in this book by way of one or two-dimensional problems. Actually, I am more interested in how to imeplement the Maxwell model (with nonlinear damper ) in finite element analysis. The type In the nonlinear finite element analysis, we intend to solve a equation of the form. The author presents how to apply numerical methods like finite differences , finite elements, boundary elements, image charge methods, and Monte-Carlo methods to field theory problems. The core engine should work on the Maxwell's equation using appropriate methods. He offers an outlook on fundamental issues in physics including quantum mechanics. Maxwell's equations are presented and explained. Although there are four Maxwell's equations, it seems there are four thousand EM solvers!
